Practicing Photoshop

Photoshop Practice

This is a Christmas card I have made in order to practice my skills on photoshop. I have used 8 layers to create this. I have added text, used the clone tool, experimented with opacity of layers, different brush tools and types and the basic functions like adding images and free transform.

This is a logo representing me that I have created in order to practice Photoshop some more and too put into action some of the techniques and idea’s I learnt from analysing existing logo’s.

The checked pattern. that kind of takes up the logo, represents the winter. This is a pattern that I always see in the winter and since Autumn/ Winter is my favourite time of year, I thought it would be nice to include it. The tree in the background also represents Autumn. The paint brush, books and piano keys represent my hobbies. The reason the paint is blue is because blue is my favourite colour.

Finally the logo is really busy. I have done this to represent the way my life is so busy and there always seams to be lots going on. This usually includes my hobbies like painting for Graphics lessons. That’s why I have put the word “Me” in the middle, to represent that I am surrounded by all these things that make my life busy.
